The Page is a divey neighborhood bar. They often have live music, and it feels kind of like a hunting lodge inside, with a slanted wood ceiling and lots of classic looking paintings. The current owner, Bob Wait, took over and renamed it in 2004. The location has a long history, from soda fountain to carpet cleaner to a series of bars.
I love the lettering style and color of their sign. This piece was painted en plein air, on location and in person while listening to the music flowing out from inside. They are also still cash only, which I appreciate as a way of fighting back against the total digitification of everything.
