Jay Jimenez

From an early age, I demonstrated a strong passion for the arts, earning numerous awards and recognitions in visual art, music, and theatre. With the support of my parents, teachers, and local artists, my creativity flourished throughout my preteen years. As a teenager, I pursued a wide range of artistic and extracurricular activities—painting, performing in solo art song and chamber music competitions, and playing saxophone at a college level. I also trained in martial arts and gymnastics, sang in honor choirs from kindergarten through 12th grade, and held leading and supporting roles in talent shows. In high school, I advanced to drum major and joined the JROTC Air Force drill team, continuing to develop discipline, leadership, and a deep love for performance.
Post 911, I served in the U.S. Navy from 2003-2007 that experience leaves a marring signature in my body of work. It also helps to identify my paintings with a unique identifier. 
Today I am unbound, I make art to honor all those who have influenced my life and for 
posterity.
