Poppers the Pony By Dorian Katz

Dorian Katz/Poppers the Pony is an artist and illustrator based in the Bay Area since the 1980s. She creates zines like Kid Unfriendly and Animal Sex Coloring Book in addition to her unending output of narrative drawings. Katz works and plays as Poppers for close to 20 years and organizes art shows in LGBTQIA+ communities for even longer. She was Center for Sex & Culture’s Gallery Director from 2011-2019 and received the SF Leather Alliance 2018 Woman of the Year Award. Poppers drew the 2025 Folsom Street Fair poster and (with her veterinarian) was recently sainted by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
