Fallacy, if one chooses to see it that way. A monument to all the piety of the church, and one that's set to fall. We can all take pride in that. Cathedrals are great constructs of architecture, design, painting, sculpting, and mathematics. They're very imposing, technical structures, intended to leave you with a grandiose presence. They are very fascinating to me.
I like to see us all with our own internal cathedrals. Our own grand fortitudes that house all our best skills and creations. A place in our hearts and minds we love to present to others. A place we can change and improve upon how we see fit. The danger in it is the same factor with all things. The spiral of time eventually leads to erosion and disorder. For loners and individuals of isolation, madness will set in. Self destruction follows. This is a small path of infinite other outcomes, of course, yet it feels inevitable for me.
